"Life is a mountain of solvable problems, and I enjoy that."

-James Dyson

About Me

I'm Dr. Robin Underwood

I have had the honor and privilege of working with individuals and their significant others for over 40 years. As a licensed occupational therapist, I have helped them be able to participate in occupations (daily life activities) that they need and want to do.

Where I've Worked

I have worked in large medical centers, mental health hospitals, community programs, outpatient clinics, physician’s offices, programs for adults with developmental disabilities, vocational programs, domestic violence centers, criminal justice programs, and universities.

No matter what settings I’ve worked in or what populations I’ve worked with, I’ve always focused on what was important to my clients and their significant others. I’ve also concentrated on the person’s ability to function within his or her community.

My education has well prepared me for the challenges that individuals face as they attempt to live to their potential while navigating healthcare and other systems.

I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from SUNY at Buffalo, a Master’s of Science degree in Healthcare Policy and Administration from Mercer University- Atlanta, and a PhD in Occupational Studies from the University of Georgia and a Certificate in Women’s Studies.
